interesting Andrew but i think i will stay clear for a while yet.
My mate has had it on trial for a year now and has had its fair share of problems.(can you believe he was part of the test program and Microsoft want to charge him full price if he wants to keep it!!!!!)

Yes, I'll be staying away from it for the time being too. Most of my computers use Windows XP and work just fine.

That's not fair that Microsoft want to charge full price for people who have taken part in the test program.

I know some IT Engineers using it - say it's the mutts nuts!

Our php/mysql developer has also been using - he says it is the best windows os by far (he is a unix / linux guy - so high praise indeed)

I have just got work to buy it - so I can start testing all of our applications - trouble is you need to do a clean install so I have to back up all my XP stuff - which is considerable. might be a while before I can get to upgrade.

I was running the trial on a virtual machine - but it is not great as you cannot utilise the graphics / sound etc when running as a virtual machine.
